IDEO Inc | London
"… IDEO, the largest and probably the most innovative product design firm in the world…" Ted Koppel, ABC News

IDEO is a world leading design and innovation agency. It has built a culture and environment that supports and encourages flexible, spontaneous and creative working.
In 2007 Agile project managed a full redesign of their 15,000sq ft offices. IDEO’s large, airy industrial building is organised to easily allow the user to reconfigure their environment to suit the changing demands of a project. The relaxed and creative office clearly expresses the culture of IDEO.

PATAS Offices

Parking & Traffic Appeals Service for London Councils | London
Agile won the tender to design new local government offices for all 33 London authorities.

From helping London Councils select the building to the office opening to the public took just four months. After designing the space Agile wrote the design specification for all elements. supervised the tendering of the fitout contract and was involved in all the finishing touches including procurement & installation of all furniture and graphics. All spaces are fully wheelchair accessible including the new kitchen, shower room and loos.

BBC Arts

BBC Arts | Introduction of Hot Desking | London
Agile spent 16 months working with BBC Factual & Learning investigating how the cost of their office accommodation could be reduced while the working environment was improved. Part of the project included the design of a pilot area where 135 staff shared 98 desks; a huge culture change for the teams.

"Agile are excellent designers who listen to their clients and really understand what the occupants need"Tony Bryan, Leader Creative Spaces, BBC Factual & Learning

Mission Images

Mission | London
Mission Possible is an artworking company which specialises in the creation and manipulation of images.  They work in-house for the large advertising company BBH.   Agile worked with Mission to design a creative office space combining a desking area and a break out space.  The brief was to keep the office style masculine and incorporate Missions identity, this was successfully achieved by using Tom Dixons new carpet range along with colours in the furniture and vinyls.

"Agile were able to move quickly and easily. From the moment I met Harriet and Ally, I knew they were able to decipher exactly what we needed, as opposed to exactly what we said we wanted. They were a joy to work with, and the process was painless. Our space is the envy of all who visit us, it's fresh, it's funky and surprisingly it has remained tidy!"
Vicki Kaufmann, Office Manager, Mission

Reception Area at Thoughtworks

Thoughtworks | London
Agile refurbished Thoughtwork's existing offices, creating a new reception and kitchen area as well as reallocating the space to achieve a break area. Agile introduced Thoughtworks to the versatility of digital wallpaper as a fun element to the office, which they liked so much it is updated yearly!

"Agile Space have enabled us to utilise a ‘dead’ space within our office - they have created a place where everybody now wants to be, visitors and staff alike. They were able to help us visualise what the space could be and we could not have done it without them. Can’t wait for them to start on the rest of the office!" Victoria Mott, ThoughtWorks

NHS Centre

NHS Centre for Innovation and Improvement | Warwick University Campus
Agile worked with Institure staff to define how they would use this new work space. Emphasis is given to team working and knowledge sharing.

After designing the master plan for the 20,000sq. ft. space Agile worked with the NHS as their advisor through the build process.

egg meeting photo

Egg Technology | Derby
Redefining the way Egg Technology works
Egg’s Technology Team wanted to change the way that it worked. Following workshops with the team, new work models and changes to their environment were implemented. This has lead to a major change in the way Egg designs and develops its products.

"The opportunities for this as a way of working are just huge. The changes have had a direct impact on business value, partly by enabling the company to contain and even reduce its development costs, and also by driving better products to customers."
Daren Martin - Egg’s Director of Technology quoted in Computing

Demos Offices

Demos Offices | London
Political think tank Demos needed an extremely flexible space that could support large seminars as easily and effectively as small meetings, as well as individuals in quiet reflection. In addition they needed to achieve all this on a tiny budget.

"Now three months settled, Agile’s imagination and intelligence in designing our new office is etched deeply into our daily practice. Agile succeeded in anticipating our evolution and tailoring a highly adaptive floor plan that reinforces our aspirations as an organisation. Simply put, the result is an uniquely pleasurable and creative environment for our staff, clients and colleagues." Peter MacLeod - Demos’ New Office Team Leader

BBC Development Team Office

BBC Workspace for D&CF Development Team | London
As a part of the BBC’s cultural change initiative we were asked to design a workplace for one of its leading creative teams. The idea was to design a space that inspired and supported new working practices. Comprehensive user-research revealed a number of insights which became the inspiration for the functionality and aesthetic of the space. Project completed by Harriet Hunter while working for IDEO.

"This space is exactly where the BBC should be heading"
John Dee - Head of Design, BBC Property. Quoted in Design Week

BBC Radio London

BBC Radio London
Breakout areas and offices
Agile redesigned an existing breakout area, a space that, until the redesign, the staff rarely used. Now the area is always busy with staff meeting and chatting.

Proctor and Gamble

Procter & Gamble's Innovation Centre | Geneva
Concept and design of this innovation centre and customer experience lab three floors below ground.

Samas Showroom

Samas Showroom | London
This project required us to redesign the Clerkenwell based showroom of Dutch furniture manufacturer Samas. Samas wanted to 'soften' the look of their showroom, we achieved this by introducing bespoke hand illustrated graphics. The breif also required a reorgainisation of the showroom to allow the route taken by staff and customers to tell a story about the company and the furniture they create. We included prompts to assist the sales staff, and used the graphics to provide a slient narrative.

BBC Newsroom

BBC News Interactive Newsroom | London

"The old office was dark, dirty, cramped and old-fashioned-not the place for the cutting edge part of BBC News. We love the more open, white, modern look with the glass meeting room and separate comfortable soft seating area - all of which seem more in keeping with our business. It is now a far better place to work!"
Vicky Taylor, Editor, Interactivity, BBC News Interactive
